Presenting an exact reproduction of one of the first civilian flight jackets sold by the Air Associates Corporation in the early 1930's. Air Associates Inc. sold aviation clothing, gear, and parts from the late 1920's through the 1940's. This jacket is made out of our Chestnut Capeskin which is a close match to the Capeskin on the original jacket. The style is similar to the A-1 flight jacket but has some unique features such as the extra side panels, gusseted underarm panels, and a fold down knit collar without buttons or snaps. This model of jacket was used in the movie Torpedo Run and worn by the leading actor, Ernest Borgnine. We were able to procure the exact 1930's NOS Casein inner and outer buttons used on the original jacket. This was an amazing find and we were very lucky to be in the right place and time to buy them. We have a large stock of the buttons in the original boxes so we are able to include them on this reproduction jacket.
