Our A-1 racer jacket is our own unique design based on the vintage windcheater type leather jackets made in the 1930's. These jackets were made for a variety of uses including, hunting, golf, automobile driving, flying airplanes and riding motorcycles. Our A-1 Racer is a melding of the A-1 jackets of the time combined with the styles of the vintage sporting jackets and what would become cafe' racer jackets.

All the materials are 100% 1920's-1930's correct, with Horn main buttons, Casein inner buttons, 100% seamless wool knits, and a soft cotton sateen liner.

Our A-1 Racer jacket features full grain heavyweight Aniline dyed Steer hides which are tough, thick, yet pliable and suitable for motorcycle riding. They range from 1.4mm to 1.6mm thickness.

We also have this jacket available in our Bull Run Buffalo hide (pictured in the main photo to the left). It is a thick and tough 1.6mm hide with a lot of grain variance. It has a rich seal brown color with lighter brown and tan undertones providing a beautiful antique look. Knit options and thread options are available for contrast stitching or matching stitching.
